National company with multi-state locations, headquartered in north Denver, is seeking an experienced HR professional for a full-time HR manager position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who possesses a minimum of 7 years responsibility in a multi-unit organization, preferably including a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will possess superior communications, presentation and influencing skills as he/she will be supporting business units who have full P & L responsibilities.
We are seeking a self-starter who will:
Recommend, develop and facilitate human resources plans and procedures for the entire company
Possess excellent knowledge of current and pending compliance obligations in a multi-unit environment with the ability to assist business units in implementing such regulations, compliance and best practices.
Plan, organize and control activities of the HR department according to agreed-upon metrics and then evaulate and report decisions and results in the department in relation to metrics and goals.
Implement and update compensation programs, including developing/rewriting job descriptions, as appropriate, conduct salary surveys and monitor the performance evaluation programs with recommendations for changes and improvement.
Develop and maintain affirmative action program, EEO-1 and other records, reports and logs to conform to applicable regulations.
Conduct recruitment efforts, new employee on-boarding, employee relations counseling and exit interviews, as appropriate and requested by internal customers.
Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and the servives it provides.
Maintain benefits programs and recommend revisions, as appropriate.
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree and strong experience with an HRIS. A PHR or SPHR designation is desirable as is familiarity with union operations and administering/negotiating collective bargaining agreements. We are seeking someone with proven leadership skills and the ability to influence decision makers and balance HR practices and guidelines with business needs. We will look for demonstrated history of building strong relationships, solving problems with a sense of urgency, and working with all employees in a professional and respectful manner while providing hands-on assistance in a busy environment with fast-changing priorities. Some travel will be required.
